Proposition 65 is a California law that applies to companies selling products in California. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels. Proposition 65’s warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65.
There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.
Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website?
The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65").
The speakers sounds as good as any I listened to at Best Buy
I ordered these speakers specifically for the 4x6 size to replace the factory speakers in my 1999 chevy silverado. The speakers sounds as good as any I listened to at Best Buy, for triple the price. I did not see any comments mentioning that these speakers each come with a set of wires (perhaps the specs mentioned it but I glossed over the statement), complete with the female ends attached. This is not a big aide for car installations, due to the wiring already being in the doors, but when you are creating a new system, as was I, it is beneficial. It seems as if one set of the wires were backwards. meaning the red positive cable was tied to the smaller female end. maybe they over looked that when they put these together. not a big deal to me since i used a butt connector. I cannot speak for longevity of the product, but I can say that all four speaks were...

Came with plenty of hardware, wiring components and a set of face covers; pretty much everything you need to do a ground up installation correctly. I scrapped most of it because I only needed the speaker units for my Wrangler, but it was nice to know that if I needed to replace or repair anything else it was available in the box. Great sound once installed, loud enough that I can hear with the top down/doors off on the highway without blowing the units.
