Boss Expands Car Amplifier Selection

Oxnard, Calif. – Boss Audio expanded its car amplifier selection with two new lines that bring its amp selection to more than 100 models for automotive and marine applications.

The new Disrupt and Impact lines are shipping at $149 to $349 each.  Both series feature a new look highlighted by a low-profile design for installation in tight spots.

Disrupt consists of three mono amps incorporating efficient Class D amplification technology. Impact features five MOSFET amps, consisting of three bridgeable two-channel amps, one four-channel amp, and a mono amp.

The Impact series includes the IMP2000M mono amp, which delivers 2,000 watts of maximum output or 800 watts RMS into 4 ohms. The four-channel IMP1000.4 is rated at 4×250 watts max or 4×100 watts RMS at 4 ohms. The three bridgeable two-channel amplifiers are the IMP2000.2 (rated at 2,000 watts max or 2×400 watts RMS into 4 ohms), IMP1600.2 (1,600 watts max or 2×350 watts RMS at 4 ohms), and IMP1000.2 (1,000 watts max or 2×200 watts RMS at 4 ohms).

The Class D disrupt series consists of the DST2500D, which is rated at 2,500 watts max or 1,500 watts at 4 ohms, as well as the DST3000D (3,000 watts max or 2,100 watts RMS at 4 ohms) and the flagship DST4000D (4,000 watts max or 2,300 watts RMS at 4 ohms).

Power and speaker connections are on one side of the amps, and high- and/or low-level inputs, crossover selectors and audio level controls are on the opposite side.

The Impact and Disrupt amplifiers also feature linking capability and wired dash-mountable subwoofer-level controls.
